St. Teresa Province, Udaipur
Located in the “City of Lakes,” Udaipur, this province bears the patronage of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower. It was erected in 2005 with Sr. Divya as the first Provincial Superior.
a) Our Beginning and Growth
Initially, St. Teresa Province comprised 18 communities across 4 dioceses: Udaipur, Jhabua, Baroda, and Italy. Over the years, the mission expanded across India and beyond, opening new stations in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala,Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur,and Arunachal and internationally in Germany and Italy.
b) Our Presence Today
Currently, the province serves in 12 dioceses with 33 vibrant communities, dedicated to the education of the young, healing of the sick, empowerment of the women and the girl childern and pastoral care of souls, always mindful of the founder’s vision and the needs of the Church today.

Seeing her dedication to her work and selfless service he found her a fertile soil in which the seed of Carmelite Charism would take deep roots, grow and blossom. After a period of instruction and guidance first as a Postulant, then as a novice she made her Profession as a Carmelite Tertiary on 25th May, 1885 in the hands of Fr. Candidus OCD delegated by the Vicar Apostolic of Verapoly.
